Perfectly Poised Etiquette Academy recently partnered with the National Peace Programme for their Flip Yah Script Initiative. This initiative which was started by the Government funded National Peace Programme sought to empower 60 young persons from at risk communities by providing them with the opportunity to develop personally and professionally.

Founder of Perfectly Poised Etiquette Academy, Kay Carrington said after the overwhelming success of her The True Gentleman etiquette classes she was contacted by the Director of The National Peace Programme to be a part of their initiative.

“The participants were exposed to key areas in etiquette such as Modern Manners and Courtesies, The importance of First Impressions, Respect, and Dressing for the Occasion. The female participants were taught how to sit with poise and how to walk gracefully. In the afternoon segment, was all on the topic of Dinning Etiquette, where we staged a role play on the do’s and don’ts in a restaurant setting followed by details of the correct dinning protocol. The participants also had the opportunity to see a live table set up for a dining experience,” Carrington said.

Since founding her business on July 1st, 2022, Carrington has gone on to incorporate Etiquette Training Sessions for businesses in Barbados.

“I recently designed and executed a ten-week program for a local business as the company recognised that etiquette is also an important aspect in business. I have also conducted sessions and training for various youth groups and local churches. I have also worked with local charity Unborn Justice as well. Moreover, recently, I had the pleasure of presenting at the All in Etiquette Workshop for the Student Leaders and Prefects at the Graydon Sealy Secondary School,” she said.

Carrington has also joined the Thrive Network which is Barbados’ 1st Student Development Network where she is a sponsor and contributor.

“The Thrive Network will assist school students with the tools needed to grow personally, academically and professionally,” she said.

Carrington invited persons to contact her via email at perfectlypoisedetiquette@gmail.com or +1246 267-8714 should they wish to book an etiquette session. (Write Right PR Services)
